It has gained a new lease of life under the directorship of Rear Admiral Sarath Wijesekara and has really become a force to be reconed with over the time. The new uniform and the better training have given long felt professionalism to the force. While maintaing its standerd the authorities should consider to intigrate the cream of the force to other defence forces of the country specially the special forces or commandoes as most of the CSF men come from backgrounds that suit best for crack units. And the conflict environment has never been alian to them. The CSF has been doing an impressive and comendable sevice from its inception to the motherland.
